Our mission is to help every young person in our school expand their horizons, and build the confidence, talents, interests, skills and qualifications to enable every child to succeed as they make their way towards a fulfilling and prosperous life.
We are focused on the development of the whole person – academically, physically, emotionally and socially. Our aim is to enable every child to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
– Silverstone CE Primary is at the heart of a strong and supportive community. We welcome every member of our supportive and loving community to be part of our school family. Through our Christian values we support each other and encourage everyone to be the best they can be.
Silverstone CE Primary aims to:

Governors’ Statement of Philosophy and Values Statement
Silverstone CE Primary believes education influences and reflects the values of society and the kind of society we want it to be. It is important to recognise a broad set of common values and purposes which underpin the curriculum, the work of our schools, and their Christian ethos.
We believe that education, at home and at school, is a route to the spiritual, moral, social, physical and mental development of the individual. Education is also a route to equality of opportunity for all, a healthy and just democracy, a productive economy and sustainable development. Inclusive education should reflect the enduring values that contribute to these ends. These include valuing ourselves, our families and other relationships, the wider groups to which we belong and respecting the diversity in our society and the environment in which we live.
The Governors of the Silverstone CE Primary believe it is crucial for values to be taught, alongside the teaching of knowledge and skills. It is a primary aim that every member should feel valued and respected and that they are treated fairly. We are a caring community whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. There is a commitment to promoting the values of Friendship and Forgiveness, Hope, Love, Respect, Trust and Truthfulness. It is our aim for the children to have a strong sense of values and to understand their part in taking responsibility for making our two schools, happy places in which to learn.
As Governors, we seek to develop a positive and caring atmosphere in which teaching and learning can take place in a happy and safe environment, where values are to the fore in all aspects of school life including the curriculum and behaviour and where staff, parents and children all work together to promote this positive ethos.
