  • Water bottle every day
  • PE kit every day (normal days for PE are Thursday and Friday)
  • Apron for art work
  • Children may also bring a healthy snack of fresh or dried fruit to eat at break time

Reading – it is expected that your child reads at home daily for at least 10 minutes

Spelling – learning the spellings daily as well as understanding the meaning of words really supports children with their confidence when writing.  These will be set on Friday and tested through a dictation the following Friday.

Times tables – children need to have quick recall of their times table facts.  Times tables need to be practiced daily.

Revision – in addition to spellings, reading and times tables year six children will have some revision tasks to complete weekly.  There will be one English and one Mathematics task.  These are a consolidation of work completed in school during the week so the children should be independent when working on these.

We are really looking forward to our school trip to Bletchley Park this term.
