October 2016

Two teams of children from Years 3,4 and 5 attended the Sponne Cluster 5 a-side Football Tournament. What an amazing evening! Both teams won their group. Well done to you all! Our A-Team of Year 5 and 6 go through to the next round!

Sports Hall Athletics

A squad of children from Year1 to Year 6 were selected by their class teachers to attend an evening session at Sponne school to participate in a range of athletics training such as javalin, standing broad jump and relay races.

Tag Rugby

Our KS2 children competed in a  Sponne Cluster Tag Rugby Tournament at the Toves Rugby Club. They all enjoyed an afternoon of competition and getting very muddy! A group of children from KS1 were invited to go along and take part in some specialist coaching in Tag.

November 2016

Cross Country

Thirty five children represented the school at the Sponne Cross Country Event. We all went together on a very sunny but cold afternoon and we were so proud of the efforts put in by all of the children. There were some outstanding performances in both the KS1 and KS2 races and it was just so fantastic to see the determination of the children to finish their races and the encouragemnet given to fellow team members. Well done to you all. We were so proud of you!

Our 5 aside A-Team competed in the Level 2 competition at Carline Chisholm School following their success at Towcester last month. It was a very cold evening on the flood lit astro courts and although they didn't lose a single game in their pool they unfortunately didn't make the final. It was so close! It went down to goals scored against us which was the final critera for qualification!  We all had a brilliant time and some very impressive football was played!

January 2017

Sports Hall Athletics

A team of Year 4, 5 and 6 children represented the school in an athletics competition. The children competed in a variety of running races of varying differences, javelin, long jump and standing high jump. We came a very well earned fourth place.

It was the turn of  Year 3 and 4 to represent the school in a 5 a-side tournament at Sponne School. Each team had to play 6 matches at a very fast pace and it was great to see some children involved in a football team for the first time.
