Silverstone CE Primary follow the model PDET Admission Policy for the 2018/19 academic year. This can be seen on our website and hard copies can be made available at school.
We strongly encourage prospective parents to visit our school. Please contact the school office to arrange a mutually convenient time to visit.
Please go to the Key Information section on our website to access the school Admission Policy.
The majority of our children live in Silverstone and the feeder villages of Abthorpe and Wappenham. However, parents from a much wider area actively choose to send their children to Silverstone CE Primary based on our ‘family feel’, good results and very positive and successful Ofsted Inspections.
Silverstone CE Primary takes pupils aged between 4 and 11. Your child may begin school in the September of the academic year in which they become 5 years old. Depending on the availability of places it may be possible to admit children to other classes across the school.
Our current admission arrangements are 60 pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2; and 30 pupils in Year 3 to Year 6.
Although Silverstone CE Primary is it's own Admission Authority, Northants County Council will manage our admission requests. If you wish to formally apply for a place then you will be directed to the Northants County Council Admissions Web Site. The County Council ultimately has full responsibility for administering the admissions process.
Children with SEND follow the same procedure as other pupils applying for places at the school. However, if additional staff, resource, support or changes to the fabric of the school are needed for the child to access the full curriculum, then these additions will need to be in place before the child is admitted.
